Shikibo Ltd. has been continuously marketing "Celgreen" made of "Lenzing Modal". Shikibo had been thoroughly concentrating its efforts on "Celgreen" in the cellulosic textile

This year, Shikibo has adopted "Modal Fresh", a new staple fiber with antibacterial/ odor-preventing effects, in the "Celgreen" area. This enables Shikibo to develop textiles meeting various demands from retailers and apparel wholesalers. Apparel made of "Modal Fresh" will make its first appearance in the summer 2002 season. According to Seizo Niguchi, Manager of the Textile Administration Department, innerwear will be the main products of "Modal Fresh" for the summer of 2002 because it features antibacterial/ odor-preventing functions suitable for summer items. Shikibo intends to carry out the development of outerwear in the future.

The product development of "Celgreen" is rich in knits, including plain knits, circular rib knits, and plain knits mixed with bare spandex yam. "Celgreen" features large changes in the expression of knitted fabrics according to partner materials in combinations. By combining with cotton, the fabric will become softer; and by combining with polyester fiber, the fabric will become crispier.

Bringing about new yarns such as modal/cotton composite yarn, core polyester filament/sheath modal yarn, and modal/triacetate/polyester (M.T.E.) yarn, Shikibo satisfies various demands by changing processing methods for "Celgreen".
