Nov. 30--HAMPTON, S.C.--Doug Carroll and Henry Hillery have never met.
Until Thanksgiving, both men worked for Nevamar Co., making "high-pressure decorative laminate" -- the faux-wood sheets that top office desks and kitchen counters.
Hillery, 59, lives in Baltimore. For the past 16 years, he worked at Nevamar's plant in Maryland.
On Wednesday he clocked in for the last time, one of 360 employees who will lose their jobs when the plant closes in Odenton,
