In a comment on one of my posts last month, "Rincy," who lives and works in India, asks, "Can you share useful blogs/article links or ebooks I can download on this topic that will help in developing EQ?"
Yes, Rincy, I can!
Perhaps the best resources aimed at laypeople are the books by Daniel Goleman, including Emotional Intelligence, Social Intelligence: The New Science of Human Relationships, and Working with Emotional Intelligence (which covers business EQ, specifically). Goleman, who has a PhD in psychology and spent many years working for the New York Times as a reporter, brings both knowledge and a fine writing style to his topic.
Goleman also has a website and a blog. He doesn't update it often, but when he does, it's good reading.
You can also try sixseconds, as well as the Consortium for Research on Emotional Intelligence.in Organizations, which is a wee bit technical and academic, but has loads of good information on the current thinking on the topic.
And of course, the Allbusiness blog on Business EQ is a good source, too!
