Google now Reports Search Volume Statistics

If you have a home based business website - or any website for that matter - you know the importance of keyword research. Keyword research is important for the initial setup of the website as well as ongoing design and maintenance. If you are including articles or a blog with your website, it's important to use the right keywords in your content.

So this always raises the issue of how do you measure keywords. Remember Yahoo! Overture's keyword tool? It used to be quite useful for showing a 'quick & dirty' estimate of traffic for a keyword. Yahoo! took this valuable tool away and replaced it with a relative keyword measure tool. Such a tool among the big 3 search engines has been missing ever since.

Until now that is! Google now includes search volume statistics in your Adwords account. You can find it by logging into your Adwords account, going to TOOLS then KEYWORD TOOL.

Below is a link to Google's FAQ page on the search volume tool. If you haven't set up a Google Adwords account yet, this alone is a pretty good reason to do that.

What should I know about the Keyword Tool's search volume statistics?
