Dictionary of Real Estate Terms: intelligent building
intelligent building
building with computer and electrical systems that sense the areas to heat and cool for maximum efficiency and then transfer air with the appropriate temperature from one place to another.
Example: Ordinary buildings often have thermostats and timers, which are often limited in that they must be set to heat or cool. Intelligent buildings have computers and sensors throughout and can not only switch from heating to cooling automatically but can also heat and cool different parts of the building simultaneously.
